MERN App With Tailwind CSS and GSAP
The Brief
Needed a booking flow that felt premium and cut down the back-and-forth emails over car availability and pricing.
My Approach
Before touching any UI, I mapped the full rental journey, browse the fleet, pick dates, confirm a booking, so the data model matched how rentals actually work rather than being retrofitted after the fact. That meant designing the availability logic first: which cars are bookable for which date ranges, and how conflicts get resolved.
Built as a MERN app with a fleet and booking schema in MongoDB, and an Express API that checks real-time availability before confirming a reservation. On the front end, GSAP-driven transitions between screens gave the booking flow a premium feel that matched the brand rather than feeling like a generic form wizard.
